We were so blessed that Cora recovered from pnemonia just in time to enjoy all of the Christmas fun. Last weekend she did her best to enjoy a Christmas gathering at the Koster’s, but her mood was much improved this weekend. Andy, Cora and I enjoyed a long weekend that included driving around at night looking at Christmas lights, making cookies for all of our new, and old neighbors, a birthday party for Jesus and some other fun traditions that we are excited to repeat in the years to come.
We spent Christmas eve day with the Wells where Cora was showered with some fun toys, clothes and lots of stuffed animals. Her Grandpa Wells bought her a shinny new red tricycle that we test drove down to the local park where we enjoyed the crisp air.
We spent Christmas morning home and were joined by my immediate family mid morning. Cora almost didn’t notice the presents in light of the fact that big cousin Hunter was here. We enjoyed mom’s homemade cinnamon rolls, lots of great gifts and a little Family Force Five dance party. After our celebration we headed to the Botts family Christmas to gather with the extended family and gave gifts to all the kids. The day was in perfect “Botts” style as the food was plentiful and delicious, the dessert buffet was bigger than the dinner buffet, and the men competed in a family football game. I’m proud to say that Grandpa was still out there at 80-something giving the guys a hard time.
