The Wells Family

But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. – Joshua 24:15

Orlando Vacation

Last week our family, along with Jodi’s brother’s family and her Mom, had the oppurtunitity to get sometime away at the Liki Tiki in Oralndo. Jodi’s Mom owns a timeshare there and invites us all to go with her.

This year was a little different than past years because half of the Wells clan ended up sick.  It started with Cora.  Our second day there she came down with a fever that included the poops and extra fussiness. I really felt bad for her.  Here we are at this nice resort that has this big pool with 5 slides and all she wanted to do was be held.  Since she is such a daddy’s girl she was nice enough to give it to me!

To  add to that we also were trying to put 2 kids down in the same room.  That means that most nights the kids weren’t getting to bed until 9:30 or so.  That is a big difference when they are used to 8.

Besides all that we really did have a good time.  Jodi and I decided that we have to redefine what vacation is.  It is no longer 5 days off where there is tons of rest and relaxation.  It is the 10 to 15 minutes you get alone once or twice a day during the the 5 days you have off that are now the vacation!

It was nice to get away, and it was great to spend time with the family.  Cora did end up coming around later in our time there (as you can see in the video), just not what we were expecting leading up to it.

The whole crew before a great dinner.

I didn't win at put-put, but come on...I had a baby strapped to me!

  1. Oh no you didn’t…..well explain the pool volleyball game then – you didn’t have a baby strapped to your chest then!

  2. Ummm…it was too windy and Cora wasn’t feeling well. That wasn’t that good of an excuse, but it was all I had.
